I’m Neal — Experience & Product Designer.
I help brands amplify Design Thinking and add simplicity to complex digital experiences. I have a passion for digital products, visual design, web projects, branding, typography, and animations, and a special love for complexity.

With my solid industry experience, I know how to help clients solve challenging tasks through design thinking.

I’m a big fan of blockchain, web3, and AI technology if it’s used for an intelligent purpose that can change the world for the better.

As CCO my role was to develop the overall CVI, sketch, and wireframe the app user experience based on user insights. In addition to that, my task was to create the overall design system and prototypes for future development.

From April 2021 to February 2023 I have been involved in a large web3 project, responsible for the creative direction, user experience, design systems, and delivering pixel-perfect design for a privacy-first and cross-chain decentralized blockchain application called SIENNA.

Global Lead Creative
Saxo Bank // Aug 2018 - Apr 2021

As Global Lead Creative at Saxo Bank, my first role was to kickstart the process of an internal agency - Saxo Design, while I was responsible for all marketing activities in Saxo's 15 markets around the world. That included all kinds of tasks from TV commercials, online campaigns, and SoMe to physical events and a total re-branding of Saxo Bank, Identity, and brand guidelines.

I was also part of the digital product steer group to guide and produce concepts, UX/UI, user tests, and design systems for product owners and stakeholders to further the development of Saxo Bank's trading platforms.
Tattoodo
Creative Director // May 2017 - Aug 2018

During the year as Creative Director at Tattoodo, I was responsible for the overall design direction of all channels, Websites, web, and mobile applications, SoMe, and Original series. In collaboration with the UI, UX, Research, and Dev. Team, we managed to make the world’s largest tattoo marketplace and the most downloaded tattoo app.

At Neal  (freelance) // Jun 2016 - May 2017

My time as a freelancer included tasks for agencies and medium-sized companies. At TBWA/BBDO I was responsible for the re-design of Ejner Hessels B2C and B2B eCommerce websites and various award-winning digital campaigns for Starmark (Mercedes-Benz).

Joining the agency GCFT for some time entailed two larger tasks, one was to create a training app, and landing page for FitnessDK to support the upcoming campaign #EVERYTHINGCOUNTS, in collaboration with Nodes and later on, a new website for GCFT to showcase GCFTs work.

I also got the opportunity to re-thinking the user experience and shape a new tattoode.com which led to permanent employment afterward.
Umwelt

My 3 and half years at Umwelt allowed me to work with some great companies willing to go the extra mile and take some chances to achieve extraordinary results. Worth mentioning are PFA Pension, Roskilde Festival, and Georg Jensen just to mention a few, all ended up as award-winning clients during my time at Umwelt.

I was responsible for the overall Art and Design Direction of all PFA cases in collaboration with a great team of strategists, UX, and developers.

The same goes for Roskilde Festival and Georg Jensen. Our 'Gift of Giving' Christmas campaign for Georg Jensen reached 35 million views across 12 countries and increased Georg Jensen’s e-commerce sales by 13% during the campaign period.

During my time at Zupa, I had the privilege to work with some of the best strategists, UX, and UI designers in the industry. Together we solved tasks for some of the biggest companies in Denmark including Danske Bank, Home, Danica Pension, Mærsk Drilling, Jabra, B&O, and many others. My primally role was to set the design direction, create design systems and develop campaign concepts.

Hello Group // Nov 2006 - Apr 2009

Hello Brand Studio as we called us, before being Hello Group, was the beginning of today's digital agencies. We were 4 visually oriented designers with a passion for the new digital age. With a connection directly to Adobe Creative Studio, we were able to get tasks for iconic US-based brands like Verizon, Citibank, Nasdaq, and Zecco. My role was primally to translate user flow and wireframes into stunning UI and raise the bar for new and unseen user experiences.

I like to call my time at DDB my education - my first job at an international agency that changed my life. Working with the best in the industry at that time, made me who I am today.

I joined DDB as a graphic designer working with a wide range of clients. My primally clients were McDonald's, Carlsberg DK/INT., and Volkswagen. I did all kinds of work from classic ads for VW, and Happy Meal campaigns for McDonald's to label design and large international campaigns for Carlsberg in collaboration with the senior creative team.

Impact Interactive // Feb 1996 - Dec 1999

After a week of internship where I should design the company's new website, I got the opportunity to join Impact Interactive. I decided to quit my education in graphic design and go with the flow as a total newbie in the industry.

My role was to design the user interface for an education CD-ROM for Landbrugsrådet and later on a digital uplift for DanSteel.
